User reviews about the book

  • Longest book, I have read in MANY years !!

    By SusanD182
I really enjoyed this book, took some time to read, but very interesting !!! The author really did much research, did a fantastic job of describing the life and timeline of Victoria. My great grand parents, grew up in England in her lifetime(1845-to 1920’s) So I wanted to know more about the things that happened while she was Queen.
  • Victoria: the Queen An Intimate Biography of the Woman who Ruled an Empire

By Intimate Biography of Queen V
This is an excellent and interesting biography of Queen Victoria. Despite its length, it maintained my interest from beginning to end. It is very relevant to the modern world, since the origins of many political and social events and issues present today are described as if affected her life and reign. Queen Victoria’s life as mother, wife, woman, and ruler reflects and embodies the evolving role of British and European/American women over recent history.
