Like a movie trailer....

This summary was like a drink from the fire hose. I suppose it did what it was billed to do. Summarize. I'm sure I've missed the fun of reading and absorbing the details that must be in a book that has such positive press. Reading this was like watching a movie trailer. I feel like I robbed myself of the experience of enjoying the book. The summary did summarize the story, but not the experience of the book. No more summaries for me unless I have to...
I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick summary or "Instaread" on The Boys in the Boat. The author does a great job of squeezing all the main points into a short book and highlighting all the important parts to give a little recap of the book as a whole.
This book is great and captures the history of these americans. It is a very excellent summary and analysis of The Boys in the Boat. It's great that a detailed summary is available, so I don't have to read a long, long book.
Great detailed and inspiring story!
It is a really captivating and interesting story! I thought the story was well done, and I enjoyed learning about this event in history.
I knew nothing about rowing and its complexities.
I was captured by the richness of this book, now I am interested in rowing.

I knew Joe and Joyce personally and shared home visits with them. We attended Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church together. My wife even took a woman's "car maintenance" class from Joe. I knew this wonderful kind gentleman as shy and
caring, now I better understand why. Thank you Daniel James Brown for your literary masterpiece that ALL men & boys should read as a genuine guide into "manhood"!
