Children of Time Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars

Children of Time is a great book. Our editors rated it with a top 5 stars.

November 1288. Bereft of a king or rightful heir, England hurtles towards civil war for the second time in a generation. When David, Prince of Wales, and his wife, Lili, travel to London to attend the wedding of William de Bohun and Princess Joan, they have no intention of involving themselves in local politics.

But as infighting leads to murder, David and Lili find themselves at the center of a far-reaching conspiracy. Trapped between history and legend, they must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to save not only their own country, but the people of England as well.

Meanwhile, back in Wales, Llywelyn and Meg discover that time is no barrier to either adventure or trouble.

Children of Time, book four in the After Cilmeri series, continues the story of Llywelyn, Meg, and their children in the medieval kingdom of Wales. Other books in the series include: Daughter of Time (a prequel), Footsteps in Time, Winds of Time, Prince of Time, Crossroads in Time, Exiles in Time, Castaways in Time, Ashes of Time, and Warden of Time.

User reviews about the book

  • Children of Time

    By Sara Miquel Silverbirch
I am really loving the series; Children of Time deftly moves the story forward as David is propelled into the politics of England and has to decide where his political responsibilities reside: Wales, England or both countries. Woodbury does an excellent job of keeping it suspensful as Meg and Llewelyn are cast into the future bringing a new character back with them to 13th Century Wales. Sarah Woodbury has a great grasp of Welsh history and creating gripping prose that keeps the reader engaged and wanting another novel.
