  • New paradigm

    By michaelbergh
I like this book! Danny quickly and simply explains the theory and technique behind what he calls chi running. This book rejects the "no pain, no gain" concept and offers up a "run with no pain" concept instead. This book does not offer a quick fix, but rather a new paradigm that changed everything I thought I knew about running including form, breathing, mind set, and body sensing. Every runner should read this book.
  • Interesting concepts looking forward to implementing them

This was an eye opening read. Lots of concepts I've used in martial arts, but never thought to put them into running. The connection pointed out to total immersion is valid, as I just incorporated TI into my swim training I did feel like I was rereading something I'd half forgotten. As a triathlete I improved my swimming with TI, from flailing in the water to being able to swim a 1.4 mile open water leg easily, I am hopeful I can improve my run the same way. This book provides all the tools I need - but it's up to me to correctly incorporate them into my running. Wish me luck
  • Great reading

I was recommended this book by a running store because i have a bad knee. Since i have begun practicing these methods, i run farther and little to no recovery. My knee doesn't hurt due to running anymore
  • Book vs. iPhone version

    By Really needed a log!
I haven't seen the book yet, but are there lots of illustrations that I'll miss out on because I'm reading this on the iPhone? Just wondering if I should buy the book instead...

i read danny's book a few years ago -- i loved it. it gave me hope to get over my old running injuries. the mechanics of his running technique make such good sense. i highly recommend this book if you are trying to rehab an old injury, want to run more efficiently, just starting to run and want to do it the right way or just LOVE running. thank you danny.
