Donald J. Trump Book Review Score: ★★★★★ 5/5 stars

Donald J. Trump is a great book. Our editors rated it with a top 5 stars.

Conrad Black, bestselling author of Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Champion of Freedom and Richard M. Nixon: A Life in Full, turns his attention to his "friend" President Donald J. Trump and provides the most intriguing and significant analysis yet of Trump's political rise. Ambitious in intellectual scope, contrarian in many of its opinions, and admirably concise, this is surely set to be one of the most provocative political books you are likely to read this year.

The author pulls no punches, highlighting both the good and bad sides of Trump’s character. Lots of fascinating stories which broadened my appreciation of this remarkable person who can do so much good yet be such an irritating—and at times despicable—person at the same time. Trump is not just controversial, he breaks all the norms of decency and presidential behavior. Yet, as someone said, “I hate everything about Trump except all his policies.” He has accomplished quite a bit so far. You may hate Trump with all your soul, but this book gives you plenty of chances to appreciate the good side of his character. It’s written very well. The first day I bought it I couldn’t put it down until I was more than half way through.
