It felt more like an episode of Doctor Who which is cool, but nothing without the rest of the series. Zero character development, kind of overdone theme, hints at some things fans of the other books would be interested in and then abandons them. It feels like JK Rowling doesn’t respect her Harry Potter fans and thinks that a half hearted attempt at a watered down family themed cliche which spends half its time referencing exact quotes and scenes from her previous books will appease us. It is obvious that very little time was spent coming up with anything new. I’ve been more excited about three paragraph long fan fics than I was about this.

It was fine even though it was a playscript.

I saw J.K. Rowling on the front and thought it would be way more descriptive than it is. I definitely like the other books better. Other than that it’s pretty good

I was hesitant to purchase, not wanting to have Harry and his friends grow up so fast. Very pleased with this script. Very easy to read. Feels fine to read; not broken up or fragmented as I feared. A great intertwine of what I knew with what I learned. Not giving anything away about plot. A great read! Thank you all involved.
  • Not the Harry Potter characters I know

This is poor writing and a terrible grasp of the characters. I read it because J. K. put her name with it, so my expectations were high and I was excited. Boy was this horrible. I don’t count this as real and just count it as someone’s horribly written fanfiction. Something that never happened in cannon and would never actually happen and that makes me feel better.

This was amazing. It was alway advertised as a play script, because it is an actual play. They made it a book so those who couldn’t see the play would still be able to experience the next chapter of Harry Potter. I loved it!

Love it please tell me next thing it’s gonna be a movie. You can still use Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. They are all a young age still 28-31. Thank you.

I don’t care that it is no t a real book I just care it is about Harry Potter because all the people that are saying it is disappointing are not true Harry Potter fans but I am so I love it either way I definitely suggest that you buy this awesome Harry Potter adventure.

I like many others that grew up with Harry Potter eagerly awaited the release of this #8 book. I guess it’s lucky that it doesn’t remind me of the magical world of Harry Potter. This book is glorified fan fiction and nowhere near worth all the hype. Many many plot holes and the main characters were dare I say it, unlikeable. Harry Potter ended 10 years ago and those are the memories I want to keep. I bought this book in hardcover the day it came out and just dropped it off at the dump.
